Beef Processing Ponds
The pond above was built as part of a brand-new wastewater facility at a beef processing plant in Selma, California. Unfortunately, they had to start discharging raw effluent into the pond before the new wastewater plant came online. The photo on the left shows that this resulted in an obvious mess with the grease floating on top of the surface. The picture on the right was taken 45 days after treatment. We treated with a combination of Microbe-Lift products that eliminated the grease cap and improved the overall water quality in this pond and the downstream pond.
Animal Byproduct Rendering Pond
The pond pictures shown here are from a rendering plant in Kerman, California. The before picture shows the condition of the pond when we started treating with Microbe-Lift products in November of 2020. At that time there was between two and three feet of solidified grease floating on top of the entire pond. This pond is approximately 4 acres and 20 feet deep. By injecting Microbe-Lift products under the grease cap, the bacteria got to work and started to ingest the grease. During the process of ingesting the grease cap, our products also removed majority of the odor, reducing complaints to nearly nothing. The after photo shows what the pond looks like today.
