Lift Stations and Collection Systems
This lift station shown here belongs to a brewery in Central California. It was plagued with the buildup of organic materials leading to excessive odor complaints. After treatment with Microbe-Lift products for 30 days, the odor complaints were gone and a majority of the organics were ingested prior to pumping downstream to the wastewater treatment plant.
The lift station pictured above on the left is located in Rancho Cordova, California. We did a pilot study to determine whether or not we could reduce the H2S being discharged at the outfall nearly 3 miles away. During the process, it was noted that prior to starting our pilot study, this station had to be cleaned monthly due to heavy buildup of grease. The picture above on the right shows the same lift station that had not been cleaned for over 10 months. With minimal buildup of grease, we had a very successful study for H2S reduction.
The pictures above are from one of our city clients. They treated this with 1/2 gallon per week.
Above are photos from a city in California that manages over 200 miles of sanitary sewer collection systems. They have five pump trucks on a constant rotation flushing lines in an effort to reduce the risk of Sanitary System Overflows. The picture on the left is of a 10-inch sewer line that had recurring heavy grease buildups. This part of the system is set to fill completely before the lift station pumps start, allowing grease to attach to all surfaces of the pipe. A video camera unit routinely inspects the lines for breakage and potential weak areas before they become large problems. On August 29, 2013, because of massive amounts of grease in the line, the camera was only able to go a little over halfway down the line before getting stuck.
Treatment with our products started on September 24, 2013. After five months of treatment, as shown in the photo above right, the grease had cleared, and the camera was able to easily run all the way through the line to the next manhole. It should be noted that the once per week treatment, and the accompanying result, was introduced into one manhole 500 feet upstream. This incredible success was achieved by using only 10 gallons of Microbe-Lift products.
