Municipal Anaerobic Digesters
Anaerobic digesters have been around for quite some time and operating them effectively to get a consistent output of energy has largely remained a challenge. The solution, surprisingly, comes from 50-year-old technology. Let us show you how our natural bacterial formulations are extremely efficient and cost effective in stabilizing and maximizing the anaerobic digestion processes.
Above is an aerial photo of the anaerobic digesters at the Central Marin Sanitation Agency treatment plant in San Rafael, California. Plant operators, industry associations, research institutions, and state and federal agencies are now using the term “Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF)” to refer to Wastewater Treatment Facilities (also known as Publicly Owned Treatment Works or POTWs). This term acknowledges their ability to produce clean water, recover nutrients (such as phosphorus and nitrogen), and reduce our dependence on fossil fuel through the production and use of renewable energy.
